Cellphone: all students in Spain have a cellphone, both to communicate with their families (universities are only in the big cities, so the students move from their homes to a new flat or dorm next to the university) and to communicate with their friends. In Spain there is no email service in the cellphone, there is sms (short message system) instead. Sms is the most common way of communicating with friends.
